How to Make Christmas Rice Krispie Treat Bites

You will need:
  • Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Cereal
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Butter (Sweet Cream, Salted)
  • Americolor Super Red Food Coloring
  • Americolor Leaf Green Food Coloring
  • Wilton Nonpareils Christmas Sprinkles

INGREDIENTS
The base for our Christmas Rice Krispie Treat Bites is our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe which we have adjusted and perfected over the years until it is now absolutely the best Rice Krispie Treat recipe we have ever tasted.  You can find all the directions you’ll need to make these delicious treats right here.

You need to make three batches of Rice Krispie Treat mixture in Red Green and White. For detailed instructions on how to make the Rice Krispie Treat mixture, check out our Best Ever Rice Krispie Treat Recipe.  I added the food coloring to the melted marshmallow mixture BEFORE adding the Rice Krispie Cereal.

Red Batch
3 Cups of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal)
6 Drops of Americolor Super Red Food Coloring

White Batch
3 Cups of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal)
No Food Coloring

Green Batch
3 Cups of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal)
5 Drops of Americolor Leaf Green Food Coloring

While the Rice Krispie Treat mixture is still warm, liberally add some Wilton Nonpareils Christmas Sprinkles and mix.

Wait until the mixture cools enough so you don’t burn yourself but is still warm enough to be malleable.  Grab a spoonful and roll it into a bite-sized ball.  Super easy and something the kids will have fun doing with you.  If the mixture is too sticky, rub your fingers with some butter.

Allow the Christmas Rice Krispie Treat Bites to cool before you store them. This is a great Christmas Recipe and you can make it well ahead.  Rice Krispie Treats freeze up great in an air-tight container.

Christmas Rice Krispie Treat Bites are so pretty and colorful and festive.  They will look great on your Christmas dessert table or would be great to take to a school or office Holiday Party.  Merry Christmas everyone!
